Kentucky nonprofit conducting internet pricing survey in Louisville to identify gaps in affordability, connectivity

Louisville, Ky. (April 9, 2025) – Connected Nation (CN) is conducting new research to ensure every household in the Louisville area has access to affordable and reliable broadband (high-speed internet). The national nonprofit, which is based in Bowling Green, Kentucky, is working to close the Digital Divide across the country.

As part of that work, CN is asking local residents and businesses to provide details about their internet connectivity, costs, and speeds through a short survey. All answers will remain anonymous

"Affordable broadband is vital for work, learning, and life,” said David Nunnally, Research Analyst, CN. “This survey will bring us one step closer to understanding what households pay, and what can be done to ensure everyone can get online."

The survey, dubbed the “Broadband PriceFinder,” can be found at this link: https://surveys.connectednation.org/s3/BBPriceFinder

It consists of a short series of questions about broadband technology and prices in the Louisville area. The full survey takes less than five minutes to complete.

“With the rollback of the Affordable Care Act, understanding the pricing of internet in the marketplace is critical to CN's mission of supporting and connecting communities in the digital age, especially with the emergence of artificial intelligence,” said the nonprofit’s Vice President, Data Strategy & Technical Services, Colin Reilly.

The information collected in this survey will provide a better picture of internet access across the city so that CN’s researchers can more clearly identify and define affordability and connectivity gaps.
